A whole range of my work developed around a converted Chapel
Some years ago I was asked to paint a large mural in Diamond Lodge, a converted chapel, home to friends Anne and Charlie. The Boy was the result of this work; he is fifteen feet high thirty feet wide on a curved wall overlooking the main sitting room and took just thirty two hours to paint using household emulsion paints, large brushes and a very shakey step ladder!. A few years on and the chapel is well on its way to completion. Now there are several more murals of different sizes and some stained glass windows along with a range of decorative motifs and other work. The chapel has kept me busy and has inspired me to develop my existing skills as well as to learn new ones. |
